Sally had a difficult childhood with one bright light – a grandma who loved, fed, and tried to protect her, but all of that ended when her grandma entered the nursing home. Sally returned to her mom who stole her hard earned detasseling cash and kicked her out at 14 years old.
In and out of foster homes, she was homeless shortly after graduating from high school. She turned to prostitution and soon found herself the sex slave of a wealthy young man who worked from home.
Pregnancy, abortions, heartache, & finally a pregnancy she could keep along with a real job – life was going well! 3 months later, pregnant again. She turned to the abortion pills.
She immediately regretted it. Destiny For Women brought her to Peoria to reverse the abortion, sent her on a post abortive retreat, and remained in her life even as she took the 2nd set of abortion pills two weeks later, when life again seemed unbearable. The advocate warned her that this abortion might fail, and it did.
At 14 weeks, she began coming to Destiny for Women for prenatal care. She asked for Scripture verses from the staff to aid in her understanding. She loves our staff, and we lover her too!
She spent Good Friday praying on the South side of Peoria and Easter Sunday at church. She prays daily for her baby’s life and the baby which will be here in 2 months!
